Independent crypto market research

Compare depth-adjusted spot spreads, model perpetual funding and inspect trading assumptions. Enable JavaScript to open the complete BTCMox workspace. The calculators work locally; live quotes require access to public provider APIs.

Every tool is provided as a separate HTML page with a stable address. JavaScript adds the interactive workspace; public data is optional.

Strategy lab — how to use this workspace

Explore a disclosed long/flat moving-average crossover using the available completed hourly history. Set a fast and slow SMA, starting capital, per-side fees and slippage. Signals use the previous completed close; simulated execution uses the following candle’s open.

What the simulation includes

The strategy holds the asset when the fast average exceeds the slow average and otherwise holds cash. Fees and supplied slippage apply to trades. Any remaining position is closed at the final observation so final equity can be compared consistently with the starting capital.

What a short backtest cannot establish

A recent history window does not capture every regime or market disruption. The model omits queue position, partial fills, market impact beyond the supplied allowance, tax and venue failure. Parameter choices based on the same history can overfit. Inspect the full simulated trade list instead of judging the strategy by ending equity alone.
