Use a stable identity and the dates provided
A protocol slug identifies the requested provider record; a similar display name does not automatically resolve to the same product. Historical observation times come from the data response and are separate from the browser’s receipt time. The selected baseline is an actual observation at or before the target date, or the earliest available observation when the record is shorter. Missing dates are not filled with simulated values.
Understand the path behind the endpoint
Imagine a hypothetical protocol beginning at $50 million, reaching $80 million and ending at $60 million. The endpoint change is positive 20%, while the decline from the observed $80 million peak is negative 25%. Both can be true. The table’s interval changes compare consecutive available observations, which are not necessarily evenly spaced daily records if the source contains gaps.
TVL history is not a token performance chart
A changing USD balance combines quantity, price and coverage effects. It does not measure the return earned by holding a protocol token or isolate user deposits and withdrawals. Product migrations and adapter changes may also require context from official documentation. Use this page to check whether a current gainers or decliners entry represents one sharp observation or a broader pattern. Maximum drawdown applies only to the observed values in the selected window; unobserved intraday moves and earlier peaks are outside that calculation.
