Compare percentage movement with current size
The largest percentage increase need not represent the largest dollar increase. As a hypothetical example, a protocol that grows from $1 million to $2 million gains 100%, while one that grows from $100 million to $120 million gains 20%. The second adds much more reported dollar value. This screen sorts the qualifying positive percentages but keeps current TVL visible so you can examine both dimensions.
How the implied prior balance works
Where the reported change permits it, the page reverses the percentage using current TVL divided by one plus the change expressed as a fraction. A hypothetical current value of $12 million after a reported 20% increase implies a $10 million prior value. This is an arithmetic reconstruction from two current response fields. It is not an independently fetched historical balance and should not be described as one.
Check why the protocol appears
Positive TVL movement can follow deposits, token price appreciation or changes in how the provider measures a protocol. The ranking cannot distinguish those explanations by itself. The deployment-chain filter also retains protocol-wide totals, including other deployments. After identifying a candidate, open protocol history and compare the movement with relevant fee or trading-volume observations. Results with missing change fields are excluded from this positive-change screen; their absence does not mean flat performance. A short ranking is useful when its scope and observation time remain attached to it.
